Puppet Theater Project 101
April 17 –April 28 1-4pm each day Join us for a week-long theater puppetry class for tweens and kids 8 and up. Theater artist Charles G. Baldwin uses drama exercises and narrative play to teach students how to design, build, and animate puppets in a series of classes designed to combine craft with storytelling. These immersive classes will develop vocal, movement, and team-building skills through the practice of puppetry. The Puppet Theater Project concludes with a Puppet Show on Friday for family and friends.
Suggested for tweens and kids 8+
Sponsored by the creative re-use center EcoWorks, this weeklong workshop will take place at Sew Crafty at 87 Audubon Street in New Haven. Tuition is $165 for 15 hours of instruction and includes a $10 voucher towards materials at EcoWorks.

Rock to Rock – Earth Day Bike Ride, EcoWorks Fundraiser, Greene Fair
Saturday, April 22  The Rock to Rock bike ride is a great community event.  EcoWorks volunteers and supporters raise money and ride and/or contribute to the teams fundraising campaign.  Please join our Garbage Can Be Fun Team. You can ride the 8 mile, 12 mile, 20 mile, 40 mile or metric century ride; we usually join the 8 mile family ride to show off our mini-garbage cans atop our helmets.  All team members receive an I Heart Trash t-shirt and a mini-garbage can!  Not interested in riding? Make a Throw Pillow Cover with Donna Berlanda
Sunday, May 7th, 1-3pm The perfect sewing class for a beginner! You’ll learn to make a simple envelope style, removable throw pillow cover. Techniques learned: measuring & cutting fabric, sewing straight seams and simple finishing. NO sewing experience is required. 
$30 per person

Relief Printmaking
Thursday, May 18th, 5-7pm
Relief printmaking is a creative and easy way to dive into the realm of making prints. Engage in carving a styrofoam plate to create a colorful image. Bring your ingenuity and leave with a fun evening of producing new works on paper!  Great for all ages and abilities.  Instructor:  Meghan Shah.
$25 per person
