Kim and Pat, our volunteer Store Managers are the dynamic duo that keeps EcoWorks glued together! They bring joy, passion, compassion and sometimes juggling to EcoWorks.
Kim Cartwright has been a pastor for 47 years in the United Church of Christ, serving multiple congregations in Connecticut and Massachusetts. In retirement, Kim and wife, Pat, have served as full-time volunteers at Menaul School in Albuquerque, New Mexico, followed by three long-term placements working in the homeless shelters in Elkton, Maryland. Kim currently provides pastoral assistance to a variety of churches.
Pat Cartwright is a mother of four and a graduate nurse/R.N. from UConn, who has worked in hospitals, home care, private duty, and hospice. “Since my husband and I retired, we have had lots of exciting adventures volunteering as noted above. We believe in the EcoWorks mission and we enjoy supporting and staffing this worthy organization which encourages recycling of items others discard and offers workshops teaching creative uses of raw materials sold at EcoWorks.” Pat and Kim stay in touch with their 4 grown children and families and have volunteer commitments in the Greater New Haven area.
More of our wonderful Volunteers!
